Star Wars™: Uprising App Reviews

Initially a great game, but turns into a grind

I loved this game initially. If I had rated this game in those days, I would have rated this 5 stars at the beginning of the game. As you level up, the game reduces the amount of useful drops and requires MANY more missions to continue upgrading gear, or spend a lot of money. Sector Battles initially seem fun, but the people who get the best rewards typically have to do 100-1000 missions to do so. Initially this game was fun, but now advancement is a massive grind. Im moving on!

Fun game, great story, horrible in game economy

I am giving it three stars for the fun game, great mechanics and playability, and the storyline, however, the in game "deals" are predatory, where the RL cost to in game reward ratio is rediculously skewed in Kabams favor. Also, the economy for upgrading gear towards the middle and end of the game is punishing, way too much grinding. If you make a mistake with a purchase that took months worth of grinding, you are stuck and out of your "event crystals", with no way of turning back. The game is just too punishing, I play to escape real life economic woes, and find myself in worse shape in the game economy than in RL. Many people are leaving the game at this point, and a lot of the players secretly wonder if it the game designers are running a twisted psychological experiment on the players. Three stars because while it is a great game, Kabam is out of touch with reality, and has predatory business practices.

Not worth

This entire game is just grinding daily missions for months for gear for the next story mission!!!

Gamecenter

Dont you love it when you try to play a game that has game center... But apples to lazy to fix game center. Its the best!

Winning at this game means losing at life.

I have played this for seven months and am in the top 1% of players (in terms of gear and battle points and such), and I can tell you all my time and effort does not amount to much. The gameplay is minimally engaging, the story is barely there, and the novelty wears off fast. Ultimately it is just a repetitive daily mission grind and a weekly 24 hour battle grind for the "best rewards", which have gotten far worse over time. The biggest problem with the game is the developer, which is constantly changing the game economy and battle rules to create artificial scarcity and limit rewards to the pay to win top 100 club. Since Ive started the need for event crystals (only available from the battles, and barely then) has increased 5x, while the availability has gone down and the time investment has gone up. So in the end, you are stuck, unable to buy force powers for your lightsaber, unable to bring your gear to 7*, unable to upgrade crew... since they all need the same resource. For example, to make your lightsaber 7* requires 12 6* event crystals (equal to 120 5* event crystals). One captain rank (with your score in the top 3000 of all players) in the weekly battle takes 4 hours or more of straight grind at the highest level & rating tier, but worse, a whole days worth of distraction. And that gets you two 5* and 5 4* (takes ten 4* for one five, so 2.5 total) event crystals. So at that rate, you can have a seven star saber in as little as 48 weeks. And then to get a cool power to use with it, thats another 5 6* event crystals, or 6 months of Captain rewards. Um, so have fun with that. This is where I call it quits.

Awesome except...

Okay this game is fun dont get me wrong. I like rpg games a lot and this one is decent and free! But when doing co op missions it needs friends, why not just do the cartel or ask random people to join. Plus on the down side I can only have like 6 friends. Still fun just change those please.

Disappointed

This game is terrible it crashes every time I try to play it.Do not download it it a WASTE OF TIME

The real cheater: Kabam

This company, Kabam, permanently bans players who excel in the game. After playing this game religiously for 6 months I finally got through all the force/jedi quests and got the lightsaber. A few days later my account was banned. No explanation, no email, nothing. Nearly a dozen friends I met in this game also got banned in the last couple months. Support all gave everyone different reasons. After a month of sending emails with support they are not backing down from their statement that I obtained the item by cheating. I have hard evidence, screenshots and videos I made, that prove I obtained the item legitimately every step of the way but they dont care. I put more money and time than I care to say into this game, but I will never play a game made by Kabam again.

Its an MMO

Kabam gets a lot of flack for this game by Im having a blast. The in game "deals" may be trash, but I think thats a good thing because then no one is pay to win. People also complain a lot about gear progression, but Ive played plenty of MMOs to feel right at home during the late game. Toss in a decent story with tons of ability and armor and Im hooked!

Can u use this as an update please?

Hey Kabam can you make it so when you enter the game you have the option to pick which character you want to play as ( Only works if you have two or more characters)

Disappointed Star Wars fan

You dont get a light saber. Will this help you make your decision...

Cant disable the chat feature

Although this is a nice game, there is no option for a player to disable the chat feature, which is both annoying and intrusive. This is a great concern of mine and as such I will be removing this game until a chat disable feature is added.

Stinks

Have had this game since it first came out no light saber after completing the force missions even when you pay real money you keep getting the same gear over and over again dont waste your time or money.

Much gratitude Kabam

Thank you for fixing my level, Im psyched
