Winning at this game means losing at life.
I have played this for seven months and am in the top 1% of players (in terms of gear and battle points and such), and I can tell you all my time and effort does not amount to much. The gameplay is minimally engaging, the story is barely there, and the novelty wears off fast. Ultimately it is just a repetitive daily mission grind and a weekly 24 hour battle grind for the "best rewards", which have gotten far worse over time. The biggest problem with the game is the developer, which is constantly changing the game economy and battle rules to create artificial scarcity and limit rewards to the pay to win top 100 club. Since Ive started the need for event crystals (only available from the battles, and barely then) has increased 5x, while the availability has gone down and the time investment has gone up. So in the end, you are stuck, unable to buy force powers for your lightsaber, unable to bring your gear to 7*, unable to upgrade crew... since they all need the same resource. For example, to make your lightsaber 7* requires 12 6* event crystals (equal to 120 5* event crystals). One captain rank (with your score in the top 3000 of all players) in the weekly battle takes 4 hours or more of straight grind at the highest level & rating tier, but worse, a whole days worth of distraction. And that gets you two 5* and 5 4* (takes ten 4* for one five, so 2.5 total) event crystals. So at that rate, you can have a seven star saber in as little as 48 weeks. And then to get a cool power to use with it, thats another 5 6* event crystals, or 6 months of Captain rewards. Um, so have fun with that. This is where I call it quits.
